About Me & My Small Business
My name is Faith, and I'm the 26-year-old owner and operator of RavenFox Creations. I started my small business in September 2021 after losing my job at the time. The loss of my job immediately gave me the idea to turn one of my favorite hobbies into a small business and so far it's gone pretty well.
I started crocheting when my grandma taught me the unique craft of crochet when I was 10 years old, and since then I fell in love with the hobby. Since September 2021, I've gotten about a dozen commissions, and I've also attended over 15 local craft fair events. I hope to attend even more local craft events in the coming years, and I also hope to promote my small business enough to make more profit from it.
With that said, I don't make and sell plushies for the money; I do so to make people happy with the creations they order. My favorite thing about online orders is when customers message me photos of their received plushie(s) and tell me how happy their are with their new little buddy. My favorite thing about being a vendor at local craft events is when people's eyes light up at all of my creations when they see them at my booth. Ultimately, I just enjoy making people happy with my crocheted critters.
How did you learn to crochet?
When I was 10 years old, my grandma taught me the basics of crochet, beginning with how to make a simple chain. From there, I taught myself how to make clothing and accessories for my childhood stuffed animals. When I was about 15, I began crocheting amigurumi (plushies) without patterns—because I didn't yet know that crochet patterns existed. When I was 21, I discovered crochet patterns, which made my life so much easier. Now at 26, I can even write my own crochet patterns.
What are some of your favorite brands to work with?
I don't like picking favorites...but I'd have to say my favorite yarn brand I have personally worked with is Big Twist Value Yarn from JoAnn's craft store...but sadly JoAnn's is now closed for good. For chenille yarn, I really enjoy working with Premier Parfait Chunky yarn. (I'm also a Premier Yarns Affiliate! Check out my link below to purchase their yarn!)
What is your favorite video game?
I love playing Palworld and Stardew Valley the most, but I also enjoy Sims 4 and Minecraft. Just about any calm, comforting game is my thing.

How can I learn to make amigurumi?
There are countless tutorials on YouTube, and I hope to be one of those creators soon. My most recent goal is to work on making videos to help teach newbies how to crochet—specifically amigurumi (plushies).
